Fly-fishing. I love to get lost in the woods and find places to fish.

"The Big Lebowski"  El duderino if you?re not into the whole brevity thing.

Favorite book?
Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni

Favorite restaurant?
Chops. Best steaks ever.

Favorite vacation spot?
Hawaii-Turtle Bay Resort

How long have you been exercising and what was your daily routine prior to beginning an exercise regimen?

I've always been fairly active, but my workout routine has been more disciplined in the last 14 months than it has been in a while.  My daily routine, prior to PEHC, included a boxing class I took at night 3 times/week.

What were your eating habits like?

I've always eaten fairly well- Lots of organic, whole foods and little to no processed foods or sugar.

What is your current exercise routine and eating habits?

Current exercise routine includes warming up 10-15min on the elliptical (unless it's a cardio week), then a series of power sets (using opposing muscle groups).  It is graduated routine. Every 3 weeks I change up the percentage of max I work out with.  For instance, the first 3 weeks I will bench press (10-12 reps, 3 to 4 sets) at 50% max.  And in between sets I'll jump on the lat pull-down and do the same at 50% max.  I try to work out muscle groups twice a week.
My eating habits have not changed too much.  I eat out less here than in Alaska.  That makes a big difference.

How long has it been since you started working out at the Plaza and what accomplishment(s) have you achieved?

I have been working out at PEHC since spring or summer of last year.  But in course of 14 months I have lost about 25 pounds of excess weight and packed on about 10 pounds of muscle.

What made you change your lifestyle and follow a consistent workout schedule?

Well, the move from Alaska was a huge change for me.  I tended to eat really heavy foods to stay warm up there.  Working out was a priority as soon as I moved.  Plus, it is really convenient to walk to the gym over lunch.

What do you like most about PEHC?

The folks that work here are attentive and professional.  The club is clean and well-maintained.

If I could, I would...?

Live here during the winter months and live in Alaska in the summer months.
