The member of the month for November is Ryan Schneider!
Where are you from? Born in Ft. Worth, TX, but grew up in Wilmington, DE
What is your occupation? Patent Attorney with Troutman Sanders. I have been practicing for 15 years.
What is your major accomplishment? My family
What is your favorite thing to do? Read the newspaper with a cup of coffee
What is your favorite movie? "Kentucky Fried Movie"/Morgan Freeman/Katherine Hepburn
Favorite book? Tie - Atlas Shrugged and Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Favorite restaurant? Mellow Mushroom
Favorite vacation spot? Any National Park, but mainly those West of the Mississippi.
How long have you been exercising and what was your daily routine prior to beginning an exercise regimen? I have been exercising for about three years on and off. I played high school baseball and soccer, but then lift got in the way. I soon became a lazy bum, save for the weekly tennis match(but playing doubles doesn't really make you sweat), and pick-up baseball(riding the bench doesn't make you sweat)
What were your eating habits like? I would eat anything that was slower than me.
What is your current exercise routine and eating habits?
I try to work out at last four days a week at the Plaza, doing both cardio and strength routines. Cadian gave me some strength ideas, and a plan for working out. Thanks, Cadian! I don't eat as poorly now, not so much because I watch what I eat or care about calories, but find that working out makes me want to eat better, naturally. Kind weird, but it is working for me.
How long has it been since you started working out at the Plaza and what accomplishment(s) have you achieved? I have really gotten into a routing over the last year, and I have lost 30lbs. Enough said. Well maybe not. My kinds don't jump on my tummy and say I'm fat, so that makes me happy too. (Yes, they used to say that)
What made you change your lifestyle and follow a consistent workout schedule? See Q. 16. Three years ago, my 8 year old was jumping on me, and he said "Dad, you're fat". He was right.
What do you like most about PEHC? The staff. You guys are always so helpful, and are always smiling.
If I could, I would...? "Go back to summer camp. The month or two of sleep away camp were the very best of times"
