The Plaza Executive Health Club Member of the Month for October is Travis McDonald! Great job, Travis!
Q: Where are you from? A: Born in Jamaica; raised in Miami.
Q: How long have you been doing your job? A: I am a Civil Engineer for the Department of Transportation since January 2006.
Q: What is your major accomplishment? A: I have designed two projects and one of them was let in The Government Stimulus Package. It was nice seeing something that I designed built.
Q: What do you like most about the Plaza Health Club? A: That the workers and the members are so nice. Never have to wait for a workout machine; there is always one available.
Q: How long have you been exercising and what was your daily routine prior to beginning an exercise regimen? A: I have been exercising since December 2008. Work. Eat. Sleep.
Q: What were your eating habits like? A: Junk food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Q: What are your current exercise routine and eating habits? A: I workout 5 days a week. I eat a few servings of fruit for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, I have a nice cooked meal. Now I find myself counting calories and avoiding fast food.
Q: How long has it been since you started working out at the Plaza and what accomplishment(s) have you achieved? A: I have been working out at the Plaza since December 2008; I have lost over 45lbs, increased in strength, and finally have a six pack.
Q: What made you change your lifestyle and follow a consistent workout schedule? A: The majority of my family is somewhat overweight and I saw that I was headed down the same path so I decided to do something about it. I love the way I feel when I am finished working out. It makes me feel like stress is lifted from me.
Q: Favorite restaurant(s)? A: Russians
Q: Favorite book? A: The Bible
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Atlanta? A: Spend time with family

A: LIFE/tie between Denzel Washington and Will Smith/
Q: Favorite vacation spot? A. Jamaica and Miami
